NFL World Reacts to Russell Wilson’s One-Year Deal With Steeler

Following his pricey exit from the Denver Broncos, veteran quarterback Russell Wilson announced on Sunday evening that he will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson is expected to sign a team-friendly one-year contract with the Steelers in 2024, for $1.2 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Wilson will also receive $38 million from the Broncos as part of his release earlier this month.

Wilson will get a fresh start in Pittsburgh and will have the opportunity to start, while Kenny Pickett will most likely be a backup.

Following the 35-year-old's meeting with the Steelers on Friday, it seemed like things moved quickly.

Free agency will formally begin on March 13, the opening day of the new league year,

when teams can sign players, although the two parties have already reached an agreement.

The NFL world reacted to Pittsburgh's arrival of the nine-time Pro Bowler on social media, with lots of speculation around the signing.
