NFL world reacts to Kirk Cousins' $180 Million Falcons Contract

On the first day of legal tampering, Kirk Cousins signed a four-year, $180 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons, shocking the NFL.

The NFC South team was interested in the four-time Pro Bowl passer, but his current contract nearly exceeds $200 million. The former Minnesota Vikings quarterback sparked many reactions and conversations during free agency week.

“Another monster payday for Cousins, who gets $100 guaranteed — $90 million in 2024 and ‘25, plus $10 million in 2026 — and a fresh start in Atlanta at 35,” Pelissero wrote on X.

This is much higher than Cousins' last Vikings contract. He played last season on a one-year, $35 million deal after signing a two-year, $66 million agreement.

For the record, I think Kirk Cousins is a great quarterback, but the internet loves to debate him. Nobody can dispute that my man is a first-ballot football Hall of Famer. Yates remarked on X, "He stacks millions."

On Up and Adams, Falcons great Matt Ryan outlined his quarterback wishes before the announcement.

“I think you do one or two things: You’re either aggressive and get Kirk Cousins, or you have to trade that pick (No. 8), or you have to trade up if they fall in love one of these guys at the top of the draft,” Ryan told Kay Adams.

I think Atlanta needs to be aggressive. This roster is too excellent, thus they need a point man, whether it's a rookie, trade up, or get Cousins.
