NFL suspends Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo for "fumbling $11,000,000": "Cheated and still got benched"

The NFL suspended Las Vegas Raiders backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for the first two games of next season on Friday for violating the league and NFLPA performance-enhancing drugs rules.

ESPN also stated that the Raiders will release Garoppolo next month before a $11.25 million roster bonus.

At halfway, then-interim coach Antonio Pierce replaced Garoppolo with youngster Aidan O'Connell for the rest of the season.

Last month, the Raiders chose Pierce as their full-time coach and Tom Telesco as their general manager.

Garoppolo signed a three-year, $72.75 million contract with the Raiders last offseason under Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler. San Francisco 49ers quarterback, he appeared in two Super Bowls and two NFC titles.

O'Connell took over after Garoppolo threw seven touchdowns and nine interceptions with a 77.6 quarterback rating.

After the season, Garoppolo wanted to play again.
