Jon Bon Jovi Unsure About Touring Following Vocal Cord Surgery: ‘Still Recovering’

Jon Bon Jovi is prioritizing his health before touring.

After vocal cord surgery in 2022, Bon Jovi's frontman, 62, is considering touring again as the band prepares to release Legendary, its 16th studio album, in June.

A radio interview with Mix 104.1 Boston revealed that the rock musician is "still recovering from a major surgery," but his "goal" is to tour once he can offer fans the best show.

When questioned about touring to promote the new album, the Grammy winner said, "I don't know. I want to tour next year, but I'm recovering from severe surgery.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also discussed his recovery after over a year and a half after his voice chords were operated on for "atrophying."

Jon said, "Although I’m well on the road to recovery and was able to take my time and do a song a day when I made the record, my need, want, desire is to be able to do two-and-a-half hours a night four nights a week for months on end."

At a Television Critics Association press event for the Hulu docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, the "It's My Life" singer revealed he had extensive vocal cord surgery in mid-February.

Jon disclosed on a panel that one voice cord was "thick as the thumb," while the other was "atrophying" and "thick as a pinky."
