To get started with your quick and easy kimbap, gather the following ingredients: sushi rice, roasted seaweed sheets (nori), vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, and pickled radish), and your choice of protein (such as cooked beef or imitation crab).  

Cook the sushi rice and let it cool, then prepare the vegetables by cutting them into thin, matchstick-like strips. Lay out the nori sheets on a bamboo sushi rolling mat or a clean kitchen towel.
