DJ Moore on Bears' $80M Pro Bowl WR Trade

The Chicago Bears made a surprise trade for an exceptional wide receiver on Thursday.

On March 14, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer said that Bears general manager Ryan Poles signed wide receiver Keenan Allen to the Chargers.

"Scoopage" Glazer wrote on X that Bears traded for WR Keenan Allen and sent Chargers a fourth-rounder.

Allen will be 32 next season and won Pro Bowl honors for the sixth time in seven years in 2023. He finished with 108 receptions, 1,243 yards, and 7 TDs, per Pro Football Reference.

In 2024, the wideout will finish a four-year, $80 million contract.

DJ Moore, like most of Chicago's NFC North opponents, liked the change.

Chicago's battle faces Allen and 26-year-old Moore, who had a career year in 2023 with 96 catches for 1,364 yards and 8 TDs. The two guys will likely catch passes from USC freshman QB and potential No. 1 pick Caleb Williams, who has been compared to three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes more than any other NFL rookie in the past seven years.

The Bears could have a strong offensive Week 1 after signing running back D'Andre Swift, who has 1,049 rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs in a Pro Bowl season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
