Caleb Williams Reacts to Bears Blockbuster Trade for Keenan Allen

Caleb Williams, their future quarterback, noticed the Chicago Bears' late March 14 trade for six-time Pro Bowl wide out Keenan Allen.

Thursday night, the Bears traded a 2024 fourth-round pick (No. 111 overall) to the Los Angeles Chargers for Allen, who must pass a physical before the transaction is finalized.

His 904 receptions and 10,530 receiving yards make him one of Chicago's best pass-catchers.

Despite turning 32 in April, Allen is a top route strategist in the league. In 2023, he caught 108 catches for 1,243 yards and seven scores with the Chargers, one of his best seasons.

He might form a top-five receiving combo with DJ Moore in 2024 for the Bears.

Williams loved NFL running back Jaret Patterson's X post praising Allen and calling the trade “crazy.”

“Crazy.. The best route runner I personally saw!” Patterson reposted the NFL's official report on the Bears-Chargers agreement, mentioning Allen.

Williams may speak more directly about the Bears drafting Allen with the No. 1 choice in next month's NFL draft. For now, the Bears appear to have his consent of the move.
